Project Licenses
xPrivFi uses a hybrid open/proprietary licensing model. The Layer-1 protocol is open-source under MIT. The HexGrid mining layer, UI, and front-end assets are proprietary. The project name and identity are unregistered and used only as identifiers.
1. Layer-1 Node (Open-Source, MIT)
The core blockchain implementation (“xPrivFi Node”) is released under the MIT License and may be freely used, copied, modified, merged, published, and distributed.

2. HexGrid Layer-2, Miner UI & Tools (Proprietary)
The HexGrid browser mining system, the Web Miner interface, and Layer-2 scripts are proprietary software owned by Benjamin Friman / xPrivFi.
These components may not be copied, modified, redistributed, or used for commercial purposes without written permission.
3. Website & Front-End Assets (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0)
The website layout, design, text, and visual assets are licensed under Creative Commons BY-NC-ND 4.0. You may view and share the site, but may not copy, modify, or reuse the front-end code.
4. Brand & Naming Rights
The names “xPrivFi”, “XPrivFi”, “XPF”, and related visual identity elements are used solely as project identifiers. They are not registered trademarks, and no trademark rights are implied.
Use of the project name or visual identity in ways that cause confusion, impersonation, or misrepresentation is not permitted. This does not restrict fair descriptive use for documentation or reference.
