Benjamin Friman

Creator of the xPrivFi Layer-1 blockchain, CP-Diff engine, and the HexGrid round-based mining system.

xPrivFi began as a focused, minimalistic Layer-1 project: a deterministic blockchain with a fixed 1,000,000 XPF supply, transparent account-based state, and an emission schedule built around predictable, fair mining rounds. The objective is to keep the base protocol auditable, verifiable, and independent.

Benjamin designed and implemented the core components: the node, state engine, validation rules, CP-Diff difficulty system, mining pool backend, the HexGrid game logic, browser miner, explorer, and the supporting developer tools. The approach has always been: clarity before features, correctness before speed, and transparency before expansion.

The mining system (HexGrid) is a unique Layer-2 mechanism built around 200–890 participants per round, fairness constraints, and a six-minute cycle time. L2 selects a winner, but all rewards settle on Layer-1 through normal transactions — preserving deterministic consensus.

Privacy is planned through CP-Shield v1.0, a modular commitment-based layer that introduces note commitments, nullifiers and optional zero-knowledge verification. This privacy model is not yet implemented and will be deployed only once the Layer-1 is fully stable and independently audited.

xPrivFi remains a fully independent blockchain. External projects — including the separate and experimental RootBaseLayer — may interface with XPF in the future, but do not influence the protocol, governance, or supply.

The long-term goal is simple: build an L1 chain that stays maintainable for decades, can be verified by anyone, and evolves without losing its foundational simplicity.
